The Art of Letting Go
My name is Desiree Boogaard Seaver, I was born in The Netherlands in 1962. From 1963 I have been fortunate to experience living in Australia, France, Algeria and Bonaire. My travels have been through South Africa, United States, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean.
My personal journey with art was in the 70 ’s, drawing my favourite animal horses. In the 80’s I was going through some personal challenges in my life. Out of a desire coming from within I started using soft pastels on coloured paper.
The puzzle of my life has finally found all the pieces.
Living in a beautiful area surrounded by nature, husband Don, our son Rik, Great Dane Harry, chihuahua Kiki and 3 cats, Alberto, Gino and Lola.
My passion is sharing yoga/healing and creating art.

The whole process of creating something on paper was very calming for me and I felt a flood of joy swelling up inside of me which created a calm state in my mind. To this day I still experience a sense of pure joy while creating.
Around the 90’s I started experimenting with a variety of mediums.
Now, for the past 4 years, I mainly use ink, watercolours, acrylic, pens, collage on canvas or paper.
